Meal Plan 38

What a week! The CrossFit Open is officially closed and I am so proud to be part of the North Central region! My brother-in-law, Bulldog CrossFit owner Greg Major, finished 15th Worldwide in the Masters. Whoo hoo! And both of my home teams are headed to regionals: CrossFit Freedom and CrossFit Carbon. I am so happy to be affiliated with both of these great boxes. CrossFit Carbon's Pete Rasmusen (13), CrossFit Freedom's Scott Edson (49), CrossFitVisOne's Brandon Pastorek (1) and Tosha Jeffries (9), and CrossFit 847's Michelle Larson (50) all had very impressive finishes, making North Central a region to be reckoned with.

What did I get out of participating in the Open? It was a great goal-setting experience for me. I saw what my strengths and weaknesses are and I plan to work hard to overcome some of the obstacles I encountered during the competition. I learned I can do a whole lot of burpees, but I can't consistently clean 75 pounds. I learned I can do pull-ups, but I can't get my chest to the bar. And I learned that a 14 pound wall ball is a whole lot heavier that a 10 pound ball!

I hope this week's meal plan will help you recover, build strength, and be happy that you are putting food into your body that will help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be. Enjoy!

  1. Thank you for making this blog! This helps my husband and I so much with the meal planning. Also it finally gave me a good look at the Paleo way of eating. This is better suited for me and my weightloss and Im hoping this will be a huge lifestyle change for us. I also love that it doesnt rely on fruit to make it good for you as Im trying to cut back on my sugar (frutose) dramatically. So again..thank you!

    1. It's so nice to hear from you, Paige. Thank you for the nice comments. I checked out your blog and it looks like you've been busy over the past year! I'm so glad you find Paleo Table helpful in your meal planning. I really watch my fructose, too. I save it mostly for special occasions. Best of luck to you on your paleo journey. You have a great opportunity to raise your children paleo. Hope to hear from you again--and Happy Easter!
